  • Ummmm... the patch isn't to prevent jailbreaking... it's to prevent remote code execution made possible by buggy software. That remote code execution method is simply the method that was chosen to jailbreak phones on this one website. It is not, however, the only way.

  • /foreheadslap.... I wish technical articles could be written by technical people. FWIW this is one of SEVERAL iphone exploits available. The only reason the patch is getting priority is because of its ease of use and popularity.

  • I don't get it.  Stories about "Obamacare" are printed and everybody pisses and moans because health care is being "shoved down our throats" and "sociallized."  Somebody does something nice for this girl and it's just pissing and moaning "Why can't *I* get that same care?"....

  • I don't get it. Two weeks ago there was an article saying that smoking huka's (sp?) are just as dangerous as cigarettes. Now there's an article which basically sends the message "smoke and you can be President." I just removed MSNBC completely from my RSS news feed.

  • The story states that the police had warrants for BOTH units. A warrant would, generally speaking, NOT be issued for an apartment of "innocent people" that had nothing to do with the suspect in question. If there was a warrant issued then it's a pretty safe bet that they were involved somehow.
